Okay, so I'm finally going to announce the BIG BOOK PROJECT I've been working on for the past 8 months. I'll give you the general scope of it but will save the details closer to the actual date.

I'll be turning 50 next month, and this year marks my 25th year of photography. To celebrate, I'm excited to announce "ARRANGEMENTS", a 25-year 3-volume retrospective in conjunction with Century Guild. Each volume will represent a different period of my career and will be released on separate dates. Eric Kroll has overseen the editorial process and has assembled a beautifully curated collection of work with graphical design by Rick Morris (including accompanying logo).

The first book to be released will be Volume III which will consist of the most recent years (2007-2015). It will be available for pre-order via crowdfunding during the month of February to coincide with my birthday.

Available for PRE-ORDER in FEBRUARY 2015

The ’90s are back! My new postcard set is available for only ten bucks (signed too!) while supplies last. Will stuff perfectly into a stocking.

Here's the official announcement for my upcoming solo show in Hong Kong. Like a lot of big art shows in Asia, this one is not in a gallery but in a shopping mall. The Landmark is Hong Kong's ritziest luxury mall/hotel so the work will be seen by hundreds of thousands of people who normally wouldn't see my work. There won't be an actual opening - the work will just be on display starting the beginning of April and throughout all of May.

Steve Diet Goedde: The Modern Vintage

Duration: April 1 - May 31, 2013

The Landmark
8/F, One Exchange Square
3rd Floor
Central, Hong Kong

The revolving door of fashion always comes back around to its roots and foundations. We look to bygone eras for the romance and passion of what we imagine was a better time when life was easier and less complicated. When gazing at these portals to the past, we see ourselves fitting into these eras through the lens of fashion and style. The modern vintage confirms that the fundamental things about us remain constant between then and now, and that only the exteriors change.

In addition to his other projects, Steve Diet Goedde has been working on this series since the mid-1990s up through the current day. With his passion for old-school glamour and photographic techniques, Steve remains faithful to the style and aesthetics of the past by shooting his imagery on film using medium-format cameras with little or no digital manipulation.

Limited to only 75 copies, this set contains 10 5x7-inch postcards depicting the work Steve Diet Goedde created on trips to Portland in the years 1998 and 2003.

The postcards are printed on 16pt cover stock with a beautiful matte surface and are lovingly presented in a 5.5" x 7.5" gift box. A signed and numbered certificate is included for authenticity verification.

My Las Vegas solo show turned out to be quite the success with a large amount of people in attendance and excellent print sales.  Thanks to all the DA people that came out and introduced yourselves.  It was great meeting everyone!

The show has been getting quite a lot of press.  The most surprising endorsement came from Robin Leach (yes, THAT Robin Leach - you know, from Entertainment Tonight and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous).  Here's a… to his article about the show.

AVN also had a nice write-up and photo gallery of the event shot by celebrity photographer Hew Burney.  Here's a… to see the feature.

Now I have to get ready for my Chicago show on Feb 19th. For info about that, see my previous post.

Thanks again for all your wonderful support!

I invite everyone who will be in Las Vegas on February 4th to come to the artist reception of my latest solo show "Dream Menagerie" at the Sin City Gallery curated by Dr. Laura Henkel. The show will consist of classic images in addition to some of my most recent experiments in high-tech low-fi photography.

Gallery Shows and Seminars

A two-night stay, unlike any other we have had — at the fabulous City Center Motel in Downtown Los Angeles.

We are taking over the entire East Wing of the motor court. Each room will be luxuriously appointed with skintallating erotic works from over 100 artists from all over the world. The exhibition is completely uncensored, and features leading edge artists from many backgrounds working within the theme including many of the biggest names in modern erotica. A special once in-a-lifetime collection that will never be assembled under one roof again.

It opens on Friday the 13th, at 7pm to 11pm — which will be your lucky day if you are in the market for amazing exotic art. Come early for best selection. The entrance will be through the alley, in the back of the motel. There are plenty of inexpensive parking lots and ample street parking. The fun will continue to a secret location announced at the exhibition.

Saturday, Nov. 14th is the Gala, from 6pm -11pm and continuing with an after-party at Fetish Nation. In Detroit, our second night is usually bigger than opening night, so we advise you to come early. You should bring your checkbook and credit cards, because you won't want to have to drive home to get them when you see that piece of art you can't live without.
